Its been 5 Days and there’s been almost as many murders as the days have passed this year in Toronto, that’s not even including the murder that happened in my childhood area on the last day of 2011. This isn’t something that the city has been used to over the years, and it certainly isn’t something that we want to get used to. AT ALL! The violence seems to want to escalate year after year. For a relatively large city, we don’t have a lit of murders, but when the year starts off violent, it doesn’t do anything but instill fear into the citizens that shouldn’t have to. This, plus the increasingly annoying amount of negative projections being shown on World Star Hip Hop, are equally making the city an ugly place to claim. There’s so much more to this city beyond the crimes and the negativity. It has so much potential to be something great (also the common phrase for all of our sports teams, but that’s for another rant). All I’m saying is that it isn’t necessary, and there’s another solution than death. Use your common sense, don’t take a life sentence. This is dedicated to the fallen, including Jamahl aka Wizzle. How many more do we have to lose?
