They need to come up with a better name for this trilogy (unless it’s called ‘The Girl Trilogy’) because they all have different titles, and I don’t want to constantly be referring it to the title of the first book.

SO…aside from that, I just started reading the first book, because after I watched the movie, I said WORD?! I need to catch up so I’ll be prepared for the next two movies. A lot of people told me to read the books first then watch the movie, BUT…ever since The DaVinci Code (SMFH), I stuck to my gut and watched the movie. The movie was great (Click this for my review), and I’m already a few chapters into the book.

I love to read, it’s what separates us from the animals, but honestly, not enough people appreciate literature these days, and I may appear to be a hypebeast (or at least through the eyes of book readers), because the book has been out for how long now? Ya, I don’t know, but at the same time, at least I’m reading right? I’m a 22 year old black man that reads books. NOT CONSPIRACY BOOKS, NOT MAGAZINES, but actual novels typed on ink, and slapped in between covers.

I look forward to indulging myself in this series, and I will give a recap after I finish the  first book. I’m in need for a good read, because between the last two books I read, one of them made me angry (The Corrections), and the other gave me nausea in the DAMN PROLOGUE (The Hangman’s Daughter). So, as The Spiteful Chant plays in the background as I write this (very fitting), I’m OUTTA HERE!
