Rest in Peace Etta James

Just today, the world lost a great voice. Etta James, who’s iconic songs we can hear in countless commercials, movies, and all other facets of media, was one of the bright stars of the Golden Ages of music. I was fortunate enough to grow up listening to her in my house on weekend mornings, so it’s pretty sad that she has left us, but she’s left the world with a legacy that will be around for decades to come, so we have that piece of her to dwell on in our lifetimes and to give back to future ones. She’s won a bounty of awards, and her recognition is superior enough that major artists of today still pay homage to the Queen. Her legacy will never die, and it shouldn’t, because she provided us with soulful music, which is quite frankly the greatest music. I leave you now with one of her greatest songs, and possibly one of the most iconic songs in the world, but do look into her discography and if you weren’t familiar with her, take the time to do that. At Last. Rest in Peace, Etta James. You will be missed
