Rappers Haiku – Spoken Word by Tommy Chase

In 2010, I worked with a group of individuals that varied from different fields of art. Dancers, Singers, people who played instruments, and spoken word artists. The thing about spoken word is that, it’s not exactly rhyming of beats, but it’s poetry being projected with an emphasis that hits you more intellectually. I have a deep respect for it, because I admire poetry, because good artists know how make the words flow and keep it moving, and at the same time embrace a dramatic feel to it. There’s more to it than simply rhyming, and being surrounded by such talented people, I found an appreciation for it.

NOW, this piece comes from someone I met on twitter. Talented people are all over the place, and this piece is evident of that. Tommy Chase, who I had no idea was a spoken word artist, brought the heat on this one. Enjoy it, and shout out to David Delisca on the cameo too. Great spoken word artist right there as well.
