Due to recent news that Missy Eilliott & Timbaland will be coming off their respective hiatus, even though I don’t respect the fact that they took a hiatus AT ALL! Let’s revisit Missy’s first album Supa Dupa Fly. Now…this album came out in ’97, let’s fast forward to 2011 when Nicki Minaj released Pink Friday. 13 years, and this is what female rappers have resulted to? Can’t compete with the boys, so you sellout for looks & appeal rather than talent? Gimmick rap? Alright. Cool. FUCK NICKI MINAJ!

I have a bunch of albums from Missy. One of my favourite rappers in general for a while, and straight up, I hated the fact that female rappers took a downturn over the years. MC Lyte, The Real Roxanne & MC Shan didn’t pave the way for y’all to act like prissy bitches. That’s just me and my frustration though. Enjoy this album, because for a first, it’s a great one.
