Honestly, I was listening to this on the bus ride coming home and I was like, lord have mercy, this was such a banger. Musiq Soulchild was clearly in his prime at that time, and this song was simply perfect. The message, the theme, the relevance it had to the people, and overall the composition and the vocals throughout. The video did the song justice, because there’s NOTHING MORE THAT I HATE WHEN A MUSIC VIDEO RUINS THE SONG!! This is not one of those times, I’m happy to say, so please, do enjoy.
