The Millennium Trilogy – Halfway Recap

Short, sweet, and straight to the point. I’ve completed the first 2 novels in this series, and I am nothing but excited for the last. Let me just state that Lisbeth Salander is one of THEE most interesting fictitious characters I’ve ever read about. She reminds me of Violet Baudelaire from the A Series of Unfortunate Events books, which was a childhood favourite series of mine to follow (it was serious how much I loved those books). Aside from book smarts, Violet displayed a crafty use of mechanics & making essentially something out of nothing. Lisbeth Salander, as displayed in the first two books, is somewhat of the same thing, but she’s more technology savvy, and her insane photographic memory is a bonafide asset of hers that she uses regularly, but I don’t want to give too much away from my eventual mega-recap of the whole trilogy.

2 down, 1 to go

The dramatic events that have transpired through the first two books, and how intelligently weaved the stories are within each other, just set up for a fantastic finish to this stellar series. It’s a shame that I’m just hopping on the literary bandwagon now, but reading good literature is a lost form for a lot of people like me: Young, black, male. Sad to say, but it’s true. Most would be more interested posting themselves in front of their computers watching World Star Hip Hop all day, so I’m not ashamed to be reading. Hell no will I ever change that perspective either. I’m happy to be reading this series, and I’m glad that people are anxious about the review that will be coming soon. I’m going to do my best to finish up everything before the end of March. This will be a good one, I promise you all, but stay tuned.

That’s My Word & It STiXX

ON TO THE LAST ONE!
