First and foremost, this album would not have come to mind had it not been for the help of my lovely friends Lyssa & TJ (TJ may have something to say about her name not being first on this shout out, but you know what, I’m not changing it). Styles P is coming to Toronto in May (hopefully gun happy Negroes won’t try to let off shots) and this is a good opportunity for some to re-familiarize themselves with this one. Styles P (1/3 of D-Block) brought that gangster mind frame to the table, much like Sheek & Jada, but he wasn’t as aggressive as them in voice. Smooth flow, but still gripping lyrics and good music. He’s not one of those artists that I’ve listened to religiously, but I know he’s a good rapper. This album proves it. Maybe you’ll feel the same. Enjoy.
