Don’t tell me I’m posting about Toronto artists more than once this week O__O SHOCKER! But, it’s true, if you know me, you’d know that a lot of local artists don’t really capture my attention at first go around because a lot of them sound either too generic, or just bad in general. HOWEVER! This song got my attention early in this day, so I felt the need to go ahead and share with the people.
I’ve been listening to Brandon Dramatic for quite some time now, chilled with him a couple of times. Cool guy, down to Earth, throws his jokes here and there when need be, but he’s a good rapper. His last mixtape Domino Jones was a great listen as he’s slowly progressing to getting better and better with his delivery & flow over a vast selection of subject material for his rhymes, so I expect nothing but success for this guy.
Erik Flowchild, on the other hand, I know nothing about really. That could be a shame on me for not seeking out, or possibly because no one has really talked about him much for me to go investigate. I think I watched one of his videos and pretty much said “oh, ok” and moved on, but himself as well as Brandon, did their thing on this track, which I must say had a very soulful vibe to it, and you know I love a soulful vibe. BUT, enough with this commentary, take in the song, download the mixtape, and all of that good stuff. TMWAIS (Abbreviation of my catch phrase, I may swing it out from time to time, so get used to it)
