From the West Coast, comes yet another rapper that’s on the rise. I first heard about this guy when I was listening to Tyler, The Creator’s ‘Bastard’ album a couple of years ago. His voice irritated me at first because he sounded like he had a permanent nasal congestion issue, but at least he could flow. CG1 & CG2 weren’t bad, and I just recently listened to ‘Sleeping In Class’ and that mixtape wasn’t bad. He was featured on Jhene Aiko’s ‘In Love We Trust’ and from there I noticed a major upgrade, and also on the XV song ‘Blame Yourself.’ He’s not bad, and he definitely has a following. He has affiliation with Odd Future (for the longest time, I thought he was a member of OF, but he’s not) and that is evident on one of the songs on this mixtape. I’ll be seeing him in concert in May, and he’s a cool rapper, so get hip to him. This is a good mixtape off the first listen, so enjoy it.
