This is one of the more uplifting songs that I’ve heard from Nas, and a main reason why I’m a fan of his is because he’s always had a way with words and his storytelling ability really grasps the emotions of his audience. This song in particular, he’s about motivating children to aspire to be great people in the future (sort of what I want for everyone as well), and about educating people about Africa and the history of Black people, which he’s been adamant about for years, if you’ve been following his music history. This is one of my all time favourite songs from him because of the message in it. I’m all for positive uplifting of the people, and especially the kids, because they need the boost especially in this day in age. Enjoy.
