Safe – The STiXXclusive Review

The greatness that is Jason Statham, I cannot even fathom where to begin at this point, because although many of his movies feel the same, he’s consistently proving to those that underestimate him, that he’s the best action actor right now, and probably has been for the past few years. This movie is just another one to add to his belt, because it’s simply RIVETING from start to finish.

Statham plays a washed up ex-cop that finds himself on the downfall of his life, just trying to figure out how to make it through the next day. On the other side of the world, there’s a genius Asian girl by the name of Mei that also is going through a change in her life. How both of these lives come together involves crooked cops, Russian & Chinese gangsters, and twists that will leave you dizzy, but the main constant in the movie is that it is no short of action and smart dialogue. You would think that it would just be another action movie, but it was REALLY GOOD! I’ve said this already, but I’d see this again, and I probably will really soon, because it’s just that enjoyable.

Safe was better than Safe House and the main reason why is: it wasn’t overhyped like anyone’s business. The plot was better, it kept you on your toes for the entirety of the movie, and overall, it was more enjoyable. This movie felt very ‘Bourne-Meets-Transporter-Esque,’ but as I’ve stated before, it’s just all good all the time. I couldn’t really find any low points in it. I loved the editing, the fast pace of it, and the fact that I really couldn’t predict that much what would happen next like other cliché action movies. It was simply awesome, and I recommend EVERYONE to watch this movie; if not once, then MULTIPLE times. I know this is short, but, when I’m trying to give a lot away from this movie, because it’s like a great ride that you don’t want to finish, so hop on and enjoy it. This is my opinion, this is my review
