#Nikkioh21questions What mark would you want to leave on this world after you are gone?

I still can’t answer this question, and it’s been bothering me for the longest time. I looked at it just last night and I was wondering to myself…what DO I want to do to leave an impact on the world? How do I want to be remembered if I were to be known on a Global scale? I want to be someone who was known to give back and help those who needed help in the first place. A person that was known for being resourceful, noteworthy, generous (when needed), and overall a person that could inspire others.
I’m from a city where it’s not easy to make it out of. There’s a lot of opportunity in Toronto, but it’s really hard because people above you living in other regions with a better social class turn their noses down at you, so you have to fight for what you want. That’s how it is everywhere, but I’m just telling it from my point of view. Struggle comes hand in hand with progress – it’s in the contract you sign when you’re born. Unless you were born into prosperity, then highly disregard this, but this is something that I don’t just say for myself, but for the people who also don’t know what they want out of life. Young adults in their 20s; people in the 30s & even 40s; there are a lot of people who still don’t know what they want out of life, or they sort of have an idea, but don’t know how to make it work for them in the end to achieve their dreams.

I talk about dreams a lot, because you have to be a dreamer, you must have something that motivates you daily to being great; that’s why I believe that it will happen for me. I’m putting it out there – I will be great at something one day, and there are a lot of people who will see that. I just have to prove it, but the problem is, a lot of people want to do too much to prove to others that they can do what they think they can’t, instead of focusing on doing it for them, but as a friend told me “There should be a good balance. You need the haters for that motivation.”
My mother has always instilled that you have balance in your life; things need to even out, because it means that you can enjoy both aspects of the scenario. That’s what I want to leave as a lesson for people. It has to be about balance. Enjoy your life, but still work hard for a life that you eventually want to live after all of the work is done, but the work never ends, it just turns into different projects in life to tackle. It’s just how you approach it. Anything is possible, didn’t Kevin Garnett teach us that? Isn’t that what we were taught before we could write sentences like the one I’m writing now? I’m just saying.
I don’t know what kind of impact I want to leave on the world, but I know for a fact that I will leave something. If not on a global scale, it will still be an impact that a lot of people will appreciate. I’m just writing my story in the process. Who really knows how it will all turn out? Only the people affected. But no matter what my legacy will be, there will forever be one fact that shall remain….
