Ever wondered what it’s like to get down with the fat man in the red suit? So have Vibonics! Last year, they decided to see for themselves, and the product was “Party At Santa’s”, their irresistibly charming holiday jingle. To accompany the single they hosted a concert, rife with hors d’ouvres and a guest appearance by Mr. Claus himself. This year the tradition continues at BassLine, where the Vibonics will kickstart the holiday season with live music, dope DJ’s, and cozy servings of Apple Jack drinks, not to mention delectable bites that will keep you wanting more. So join the Vibonics boys and girls as they deliver holiday cheer, with brand new songs and a badass set, kickin’ Christmas flavour in your ear.
Along with their event, they’re releasing a holiday song to accomdate it with the spirit of the season. Check it out underneath
What happens when the current generation of listeners, free from the shackles of genre typecasting, start their own bands? Toronto’s Vibonics are the answer to this question. Fusing elements of hip-hop and R&B with indie rock and funk, the six-piece band blends a range of styles seamlessly into their signature flow, captured perfectly on their debut EP. In 2012, Vibonics made splashes on the national music scene by touring the country, performing live on Breakfast Television, winning the MARTY award for Emerging Performing Arts Group, getting featured in NOW Magazine and Edmonton’s Vue Weekly, and rocking the Canadian Music Week, NXNE and Indie Week festivals in Toronto. They’re currently working on their debut full-length album, and are planning to tour extensively in 2013.
