Gadda – Someone

Gadda is an artist that I have heard in and around the city at various shows, but as the saying goes “good things come to those who wait,” the time has finally come for him to make his presence felt as a quality artist representing Toronto. Having seen him at showcases here and there, most recently at the 6th instalment of The Alley, his music is definitely laid back but still shows off his skills to offer up in the talent pool that has become more and more evident as the spotlight continues to burn bright in our city. Someone is the first single from his 2nd EP (check out the first one, Bronze, on his Soundcloud), and it has that old school feel to it. Think something out of the 1980s, and it’s certainly catchy. After hearing the song for a while, the visual was just released and it too captures that vibe that the song gives off. Gadda is someone that you’ll want to be on the lookout for, and be sure to stay tuned when the EP is released.

“With my upcoming EP, Nightcalls, I am hoping to create a new sound, a mix of retro with new school, of rhythmic tracks that you can groove to, but at the same time make you feel something. Or gives you “the feels” as I like to call it.” – Gadda
