Throwback Album of the Day – All Eyez On Me – Tupac Shakur

It’s been a while since I posted a throwback album, I know (over a month), but I’m back. It’s June, and Tupac’s birthday is in a couple of weeks (a tribute post will be done), so let this be the first of the dedications to the late, great poet/actor & rapper. Arguably his best album, and the last album he put out before his unfortunate death, Tupac solidified his success with a lot of singles and classic songs that would resonate with Hip Hop for decades to come. It was one of the shining jewels in music of the 90s, and just one piece of art of many that he’s left with his legacy. Enjoy.

  1. I don’t know if I could honestly pick my favourite Tupac album. Some are better than others but my favourite changes depending on my mood. I quite like the tunes in the Makaveli album but I mostly listen to Tupac for the lyrics. I’m always searching for new remixes that help bring out lyrics on tracks that I’ve not listened to much because the beat isn’t so good.

I’m the author of Makaveli’s Prince, a new Tupac fiction book. http://www.makavelisprince.com
