I should have featured him a long time ago, because I saw him in concert with Big K.R.I.T last year and I’ve been a fan of his music since. I listened to The Hustler’s Catalog (good mixtape, by the way) and even though a majority of his songs are weed related, his flow is cool and he does have good songs. He’s like Currensy when it comes to subject matter (ironically they’re both linked together) which is probably a reason why I like him as an artist. He just chills, but still has skills when it comes to the mic. Like Currensy, Dza strictly dropped mixtapes forever, and this is his first album. I felt the need to buy it because he’s an artist that I support and he’s put in his fair share of work.
With solid features from Odd Future’s Domo Genesis, TDE’s ScHoolboy Q, up and comer Action Bronson, and even a member of the ASAP crew (Twelvyy), this is a solid first album. Great production, dope collaborations, and an overall enjoyable listen. It shall be on the rotation for a while. Download or Buy it, and if you want to get familiar with his older work, DatPiff is your friend. Enjoy.
