It was only just a few days ago that I wrote an ‘On The Lookout’ post about this kid, and here he is with another mixtape. It actually came out 3 days prior, but no matter – I downloaded it, and as I hear it, there’s a collective grouping of various sounds that can capture the average listener with the combination of some new school sound to the new. The younger rappers of today have an appreciation of the era of the music that they were still babies in, and it shows. Macon, fuelled by a bunch of songs produced by himself, shows off his various skills while having that southern influence that’s evident in the saturated market of what you would call ‘Hip Pop’. He delivers a quality mixtape on this one, so definitely check it out, and more of this guy. Enjoy.
