If you’re still not hip to Odd Future (or if you only know Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt & Frank Ocean), then let me be somewhat of an adviser to you when I say that you’re missing out on some greatness that is incorporated with Odd Future Records. Jet Age of Tomorrow (or The Super 3) has a different tone than the rest (with the exception of The Internet) and although they mainly make instrumentals, they’re electro-soul style is what got me hooked on them in the first place (listen to Journey to the 5th Echelon and Voyager). A lot of people compare them to the likes of The Neptunes in terms of their style (I can understand where they hear that), but they still have that consistent sound that you hear throughout all Odd Future tracks. They never disappoint when it comes to their music, and with a bunch of features including Syd the Kid, Kilo Kish, and a host of OFWGKTA members (including Hodgy Beats whose Untitled 2 EP drops next Saturday – I’m stoked), it covers all bases when it comes to Odd Future, but it’s just easier listening for those who aren’t so open with the hardcore stuff. Do enjoy.
