Ab-Soul has been that member of Black Hippy that has the politically influenced rap to push his music forward, which is a reason why a lot of people kind of lean away from him, but he always seems to come with a message to his music. I hear this track as sort of a sequel to ‘Terrorist Threats’ because there’s a U.S Military/Government background behind it (if you remember the whole manhunt & manifest of Christopher Doner, you’ll understand). I guess Soul goes by Black Lip Pastor since he’s preaching the word of intellect for people to open their eyes. That’s been his mantra, so pay attention. Enjoy.
