In 2012, I was asked by a friend of mine to do some filming for an event she was putting together for Faze Magazine (teen girls publication). One of the performers happened to be this kid named Francesco, and he was on stage doing his thing on the keyboard and also had an acoustic guitar on deck with him as he belted out some songs. He was probably 15 at the time, but I knew the potential was there, because he had some skills. I even had the chance to meet him afterwards. Now fast forward to yesterday, and my friend Sajae sends me this video asking me what I thought of this kid, and it turns out to be the same guy I met two years ago. Toronto is a big city, but it really isn’t, because 6 degrees is really like 2 or 3. That potential that I saw in the kid those couple of years back is seemingly coming into fruition as this song gives you the young JT-esque flare that will probably be on the radars for many young listeners to come. Also might I add, he hails from Scarborough, so there’s a mother win for the East side. Get familiar, because he just might blow up before your eyes. Enjoy.
