The culture of the screwface mentality that has plagued the city for a long time is slowly changing for the better, and with movements like BAREGYAL, which pushes the empowerment of women of all walks with music being the main source (and a great podcast to go along with it), it’s a movement that I am proud to support in which ever way possible, and the first mixtape entitled ‘DEARGYAL’ is like a personal letter to women to free up themselves and enjoy being who they are. It’s a beautiful thing, and with the well decorated DJ Lissa Monet being involved with also the multitalented Andreena, it’s all vibes (positive ones).
