If there’s one thing that Toronto produces well, musically, it’s definitely the R&B because the music IQ of so many people just stretches far and beyond. You see and hear examples of it everywhere, and Tamera (who has been featured on the blog before) is just another fine contributor to what Toronto has to offer. Honestly, I’ve been waiting for this project to arrive for quite some time, because if it’s not through seeing her live or hearing her collaborate with Dijah SB (whom you should listen to as well), there’s a lot in her arsenal that warrants the respect as she continues to build herself as an artist. There are positive vibes that float right throughout pulling samples from the old school, some Badu, and I gather some J Dilla sounds in there as well. It’ll definitely give you a sweet tooth hankering for more. Might have to check in with your dentist before checking this out, but do so anyways.
