If you’ve yet to listen to BJ’s M.A.F.E Project, that is a necessary thing to do before the year’s end. It’s more heavy hitting than the laid back and soulful album that was Pineapple Now Laters, but he still brings heat to the project. On the odd occasion, he takes to rapping – and he does it well on the 2nd collaboration with ScHoolboy Q in 2014 (Studio being the first). For someone from Chicago, this has a very West coast feel to it (production on fleek point). Retelling the stories of childhood lost ones, it’s sure to strike a nerve in your adolescent cerebrum. Take it in, and most importantly, enjoy.
