It’s one of the better projects to come out in 2014, as I’ve constantly stated, but it still seems that Majid Jordan is flying under the radar. They’re not as highly touted on a broader scale like OVO label-mate, PartyNextDoor, but they have a sound that is reminiscent of throwback House music that has definitely found its place among not only the people of the city, but the ever-changing music landscape that seems to be growing at an exploding rate. There is a need for variety in a time where so many things sound the same. For the duo to be affiliated with one of the biggest names in music (not just Hip Hop), it’s only inevitable that they’re take off is imminent. I love Toronto, it’s my home city, and for the outsiders looking in, this video gives a different visual spin and look inside the psyche of the city. Enjoy (and go listen to A Place like This)
