Rise Edutainment is an organization that I’m proud to support and am happy that has been getting the notice from other people in the city, outside of its home base in Scarborough. Through their organization, they help cultivate the youth grow in various industries, but primarily focusing on the arts. Besides their tradition RISE Mondays, 416 RISE is another avenue that celebrates not only the up and comers, but provides an opportunity of past and present to interact and show love to the city’s offering. When Olivia Chow was running for her place as Mayor (eventually won by John Tory), she stopped by and shared her story to connect with the youth and expressed her desire to be an eye for the starving artists. It’s just one of the many moments that hope to come about in the near and distant future. So…if you’re in tow, the weather is getting nicer, and you should definitely check out 416 RISE, Info & Promo video below. Enjoy.
