On The Lookout – Trinidad Jame$

The Articulate Bitch and someone I consider a good friend of mine, Jamz, sent me a text message asking if I’ve heard of Trinidad James. I definitely had no idea who she was talking about, so she told me to YouTube ‘Gold on my Macbook.’ Now, I had no idea what to expect, but she has sent me some good stuff beforehand, so I trusted her knowledge.

From what looked likes a modern-day ODB, his flow reminded me instantly of A$AP Rocky (and it’s funny because of all of the people who I’ve seen talking about him, they feel the same way), but after asking Jamz if she felt the same, she said that she did, but only on that particular song. He definitely has that southern flare to him that you can hear on his album Don’t Be S.A.F.E’ (That would make sense since he’s from Atlanta). He has a good vibe to his music, and I have no doubts that he’ll catch on quickly, since his stuff is pretty catchy (See ‘All Gold Everything’ underneath).

Follow him on Twitter (@TrinidadJamesGG), and if you’re someone who’s a fan of Southern Rap with a bit of a bounce, definitely check out his music. That’s all for now.

That’s My Word & It STiXX
