All the hype is for June 18th (seriously, no one will care for Wale’s album a week later, let’s keep it real here), looking into July, it’s definitely going to be promising as far as (hip hop) album releases go. One rapper releasing an album (and 3 projects in the year overall) is Freddie Gibbs. If you’re not familiar with the name, put it this way – he’s a gangsta rapper but with the actual emphasis being on gangsta. ESGN is the name of his album, and the mafia influenced harshness of his lyrics will give you a jolt of life like it does on this new track that he’s made available to the public (conveniently on his birthday). I can’t wait for the album, personally – it’s going to be a good one. Enjoy.
